Vol. 1, No. 7. Dated “Danville, VA, May 4, 1865. 2 pp., 18.25” x 12.5, five columns. Exhibits fold-marks, light yellowing, slight chipping at the extremities. Else VG.

6th Corps Greek Cross, upper left margin. Front page contains notice of “Reduction of Expenses of Military Establishments’ and “Trade Regulations.” Reverse page contains editorials treating “Our Martyr President,” and the “Terrible Steamboat Accident” [explosion of the boiler of the steamer Sultana], “Change of Time of the Presidential Funeral,” “The Condition of the Sewards,” “Movements of Jeff Davis.”
