This small medal measures just under 2 inches in length and 1.5 inches in width. The top pin bar reads “SOUVENIR.” The drop features an eagle above a Union flag on the left and a rebel flag on the right. Both flags are enameled in color. In a wreath rests a white enamel peace dove holding an olive branch in its mouth. Around the dove reads: “50th Anniversary of Battle of Gettysburg / July 1-3, 1913.”
Reverse shows a maker’s mark of “The Chas. M. Robbins Co. / Attleboro, Mass.” There are some minor scuff marks due to wear. The pin is firmly attached. Attachment rings are in place although they might benefit from a bit of tightening. [cla] [PH:L]
