List various offices—U.S House of Representatives, PA. State Senate, House of Representatives, county offices, coroner, Sheriff, etc. Election held second Tuesday of October at Camp Cadwalader, Philadelphia.
The 187th Pennsylvania Infantry was mustered in May 1864. It reported at Cold Harbor, VA, on 5/61864. And was engaged during the Siege of Petersburg, including the Battle of the Crater, and later activity on the Weldon Railroad. Relieved from the line the 187th was detailed to escort duty at Camp Cadwalader through the end of war. During service the unit lost 66 men killed or mortally wounded and 70 by disease for a total of 136.
