Blaine and his Vice-President nominee John A. Logan were defeated by Democrat Grover Cleveland. These tokens have a hole drilled at the top above Blaine's portrait, as originally produced and meant for hanging and display.
Obverse has overlapping portraits of Blaine & Logan; reverse with Union shield at center; lettering around the circumference of the token reads, "The Republicans have ruled since 1860 and / are good for another term / Blaine & Logan."
This gilt brass token measures 1” in diameter and is in excellent condition. [ld] [ph:L]
