Copper token about the size of a modern penny. The surface has darkened with age but the token is easily readable.

Obverse says “ARMY AND NAVY” over crossed swords; the whole is surrounded by a wreath of laurel.

Reverse features the bust of Liberty surrounded by 13 stars, with date 1863 at the bottom.  [LD][ph:L]
