This $100 note features Lucy Holcombe Pickens between two Confederate soldier on the left and Confederate Secretary of War George Randolph. The engraved date present is December 2nd 1862 and is signed in two places. Note shows serial number 15300 in black period ink.
The reverse shows a pencil notation of “347.” There is also a small crease to the top right-hand corner.
Overall, this note is in good sturdy condition. There are two folds which were flattened some time ago, one to the left and one to the right of Ms. Pickens, but these do not detract from the condition. There are two tiny nicks in the top edge. The edges were nicely trimmed even though the top right corner is a bit crooked. [cla][ph:L]
