This Bond was authorized by the Act of Congress CSA on the 19th of August 1861. The total numbered issued were 1,132. This Bond is numbered 152, printed on white paper and imprinted with “Hoyer & Ludwig, Richmond V.A.” It was issued on the 5th of May 1862. The Bond features a goddess of Commerce on a cotton bail and also has five coupons intact. This is a type 40 in the book CS Bonds by “Douglas B. Ball Ph. D.” [ws] [ph:L]
