White bill with black printing issued by the City of Portsmouth and dated October 29, 1862. The note is decorated with a numeral “25” at top center.
Reverse is blank.
Bill is in good used but tired condition with several scattered pinholes and some edge wear; has one tear extending upward approx 1 1/2" from bottom edge, left of center. Inked bill number and signatures are good. [ad] [ph:L]
