Copper token about the size of a modern penny. The surface has darkened with age but the token is easily readable.
Obverse says “ARMY AND NAVY” over crossed swords and an anchor. The whole is surrounded by a wreath of laurel topped by a star.
Reverse reads “THE FEDERAL UNION IT MUST AND SHALL BE PRESERVED” with 13 five-pointed stars across the bottom.
