This is an original socket bayonet for the Austrian M1854 “Lorenz” rifle musket, with its distinct four-sided blade and diagonal mortise slot in the socket.
Bayonet attached to the Austrian Lorenz rifle muzzle at the front sight. Measures 22 ¼” overall with a 3 ¼” socket. Locking ring moves freely. Two proof marks on the “elbow”. Mostly dark surface overall.
This bayonet would surely compliment the Austrian Lorenz rifle musket. [jet]
