This non-excavated uniform button is an excellent condition, brass, coat-size button as worn on Federal officer’s cavalry uniforms during the Civil War. The brass device is a high convex-shaped, two-piece button that measures 22mm in diameter. Designated as a CV215A52 in Tice’s reference. Block letter “C” is seen within the eagle’s shield device on the button face. Backmark reads “EXTRA QUALITY”. Shank is strong and tight.
