Attractive small ruby glass tumbler stands 3 ¾” high and 4 ¼” wide at the lip; 1 ½” in diameter at the base. Alternating vertical pattern of clear class and ruby color with clear oval spaces. The glass is a bit wobbly with unusual base; minor wear to red color on one of the vertical panels. No chips or cracks.
"Cut to clear" is a glassmaking process that involves covering a clear glass blank with a thin layer of colored glass and then cutting through the colored layer into the clear glass below. [LD][ph:L]
