Tan colored, salt glazed bottle is marked, “VITREOUS STONE BOTTLES, J. BOURNE & SON, PATENTED DENBY POTTERY NEAR DARBY / P.&J. ARNOLD LONDON”. This semi-circular stamp on the side of the bottle is the nationally recognized mark of Joseph Bourne, the founder of the now famous Denby pottery in 1812.
Bottle measures 9” tall by 3 ¼” at the base. Just one chip at the base, otherwise very good condition. [sl]
