Published in 1905 the book has brown cloth covers with the title printed on the spine in embossed gold lettering. Book length is 267 pages including a regimental roster with 20 illustrations and maps. The book is in clean condition with light dirt from age and storage on the covers. The interior is clean and tightly bound.
The 78th fought mostly in the Western Theater being engaged in 20 different engagements including Stones River, Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, Buzzard’s Roost, Resaca, New Hope Church, Kennesaw Mountain, Dalton and Nashville.
