ILLUSTRATIVE OF THE HISTORY OF THE FLORIDA TROOPS IN VIRGINIA DURING THE WAR BETWEEN THE STATES WITH APPENDIX OF THE CASUALTIES” by Francis P. Fleming with an introduction by Rodney Dillon and published by Stonewall House of Alexandria, Virginia in 1985.
Hardcover is nicely bound in green cloth with the title in gold with a black and white drawing of Captain Fleming at top center on the front cover. Title and author are repeated on the spine. Covers are excellent and in like new condition.
Volume meas. approx. 5.50 x 8.50 inches and runs approx. 170 pages.
Binding is excellent and the interior is super clean.
C. Seton Fleming was commissioned a 1st lieutenant in Company G, 2nd Florida Infantry on July 13, 1861. He was wounded and captured at Williamsburg on May 5, 1862 and was exchanged on August 27, 1862. While he was a prisoner Fleming was promoted to captain on August 15, 1862. He was wounded again at Chancellorsville on May 3, 1863 and was killed in action at Cold Harbor on June 4, 1864. [AD] [PH:L]
