Hardcover is bound in brown cloth with the title stamped in black ink on the front cover along with the Michigan State Seal. All is repeated on the spine. Covers are in excellent like new condition.

Volume meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs 197 pages with detailed roster.

Binding is excellent and the interior is exceptionally clean.

The 4th Michigan was organized in Adrian on June 20, 1861 and served with the 3rd and 5th Corps of the Army of the Potomac. They saw action in all the major campaigns of that army suffering heavily at Gaine’s Mill, Malvern Hill, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg and the Wilderness. [AD] [PH:L]
