The full title of this book is “ILLUSTRATED SOUVENIR OF THE MARYLAND LINE CONFEDERATE SOLDIERS HOME” compiled by Capt. George W. Booth in 1894.
Volume is hardcover and bound in red cloth. Front cover has the title in worn gold with the likeness of an advancing Confederate soldier. Covers are heavily worn and are very dirty with some separation along the spine edges.
Interior is clean and readable. Front and back signatures are weak and the last two pages are loose. Volume contains many advertisements for local businesses but also contains several black and white photographs of the home both inside and out while the text tells the story of the home and lists many of the veterans who were living there as well as their units.
