Hardcover meas. approx. 8.75 x 11.25 inches. The work was done by Michael J. O’Donnell and J. Duncan Campbell and is signed by them on a bookplate pasted to the inside front cover. Also on the first page is an inscription by Mr. O’Donnell to Dean S. Thomas.

Title was published in 1996 and runs 616 pages with index. This is the standard reference book on American military plates.

Volume is profusely illustrated and is in lightly used condition. Interior is clean.

Dean S. Thomas was known as a onetime Gettysburg Battlefield Guide and early relic hunter as well as the founder, owner, and operator of Thomas Publications. He was also the author of many books related to Civil War ammunition and projectiles.    [ad] [ph:L]
