Book has a printed hard cover that reads “OUR OWN SCHOOL GRAMMAR, DESIGNED FOR OUR SCHOOLS AND ACADEMIES, AS A SEQUEL TO THE PRIMARY GRAMMAR” by Charles W. Smythe, A.M.” published by Sterling & Campbell of Greensborough, N.C. in 1862.
The book meas. approx. 4.50 x 7.50 inches and runs 208 pages.
The exterior printing shows wear from age and storage. Most of the wear is from rubbing against other books over the years. Corners are slightly bumped. Binding is tight and is a readable copy.
There is what appears to be a water stain on the first few and last few pages. How it missed the pages in between is anyone’s guess. Interior pages have little scattered foxing but are otherwise very good. [ad][ph:L]
