This title was part of The Virginia Regimental Histories Series produced by H. E. Howard during the 1980’s and ‘90’s.

This second edition was written by William D. Henderson and was published in 1984.

Volume meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs 181 pages with roster and nineteen black and white photographs and several maps.

Hardcover is gray cloth with the title and the great seal of the Confederacy embossed in gold on the front cover. Title and author repeated on the spine. Covers are excellent.

Binding is excellent. Page edges have yellowed some with age. Front page has library discard stamping.

The 12th Virginia was raised in May 15, 1861 and served in the Department of Norfolk until April of 1862 when it joined Mahone’s Division in the Army of Northern Virginia. They were present for many of the larger campaigns of that army from Seven Pines to Appomattox.   [ad][ph:L]
