The full title is “HISTORY OF THE PHILADELPHIA BRIGADE SIXTY-NINTH, SEVENTY-FIRST, SEVENTY-SECOND, AND ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTH PENNSYLVANIA VOLUNTEERS” by Charles H. Banes, late lieutenant-colonel and AAG. Published in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1876.

Volume is hardcover and bound in blue cloth. Front has a 2nd Corps guidon in gold. The title is stamped in gold on the spine. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface dirt. Top and bottom of the spine show light rubbing. Hinges show light wear. The book meas. approx. 5.00 x 7.75 inches and runs 315 pages with a roll of the dead at the back.

Interior is clean with minor yellowing to pages. Binding is good however the front and back signatures are weak. First blank page is coming loose at top. This is a good reading copy.

The Philadelphia Brigade is famous for its repulse of Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg.  [AD] [PH:L]
