The full title of this volume is “THE TWENTY-SECOND PENNSYLVANIA CAVALRY AND THE RINGGOLD BATTALION 1861-1865.” The history was written, compiled and published by Samuel Clarke Farrar, Company C, 22nd P. V. C. in Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1911.

Covers are green cloth with gold embossed title on cover and spine. Cover is decorated with a gold embossed cavalry guidon with “22” over “PVC.” Covers show edge wear as well as surface wear from rubbing. Small amount of water staining on lower front and back covers.

Volume runs 538 pages with 64 black & white photographs of members of the regiment as well as eight maps and several views of areas important to the regiment’s story. Binding is good but tired and becoming weak. There are no loose pages.
