This little pocket book has nice red, white and blue printed covers with little vignettes of soldier life and service, and was one of many inspirational booklets distributed to soldiers by religious and charitable organizations. This one was specifically distributed by the U.S. Christian Commission, which tried to augment government efforts to meet the spiritual and material needs of the men and who were often seen in army camps.
This has some minor stains, but has bright covers and shows very well. It would make a nice addition to a display of personal effects. [sr] [ph:m]
