ARTILLERY SPANNER WRENCH FOR 20 AND 30 POUND PARROT AND NAVY WATER-CAP FUSES

$450.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 490-2554

This is a scarce original spanner wrench for artillery fuses. Constructed entirely of iron, this fits fuses used in the 20 and 30-pound Parrott shells and those used in Navy fuses with water-cap covers, the lugs of the wrench fitting the notches on the sides of the fuze adapter.

These are simple, but essential tools for the artilleryman and are tough to find since they had such a specific purpose and were of little use in postwar civilian life.  [sr] [ph:L]
