Paper wrapper stenciled in large black ink letters, “8. S” and holds five Civil War fuses. Wrapper is in excellent condition. original string holds the pack closed.

Recent research by several artillery collectors has led them to believe that the fuse packs were re-wrapped with surplus US and CS Civil War paper time fuses shortly after the war. Further research is needed to verify this.  [ws]
