The cast iron body is an original 3-pound Ketchum grenade.  Nice mould seams are visible along the sides and original nipple remains inside.

The iron body was plated at some point, probably as decoration in a veteran’s post.  Reproduction plunger and fins are included and may have been done when it was plated.
