Gimlet has a heavy metal wire with a metal handle on one end and a screw at the other. It was used to remove broken friction primers or other obstructions from the vent of a tube.

The iron rod is sturdy. Handle is slightly loose, but still completely attached. Measures 4 ¼” long. [sl]
