Gimlet has a heavy metal wire with a wooden handle on one end and a screw at the other. It was used to remove broken friction primers or other obstructions from the vent of a tube.

This one has some light wear on the handle but it is solid. The iron rod is sturdy. Measures 4” long.    [sm]
