This artifact is an original artillery fuse packet with five Federal artillery paper time fuses still contained within the original paper wrap. Packet is wrapped in yellow paper holds five 8-second fuses and is marked "Frankford Arsenal, / 1864 / 8 SECOND FUZES." Packet still exhibit the small cotton tabs or strips protruding from the closed, glued paper packet. Part of the paper is missing exposing three fuses.
