American made helmet with OD green shell in good condition with light sand finish. Side of helmet has red half circle with a white lightning bolt which is the insignia of the 78th US Infantry Division. Exterior surface has light dirt and some minor scratches. Paint is 99% present. Insignia paint is very strong.
The interior has a liner that is in very good almost like new condition, however the chinstrap is gone. Crown still retains gray wool cushion and liner adjustment label.
The 78th Division was made up of drafted men from western New York and saw action in the St. Mihiel and Muse-Argonne offensives. [ad]
