The top bar of this medal is made of plain brass. The reverse of the bar still has the original pin.
A multi-colored stripped ribbon of red, brown, lemon yellow, brown, white brown, gold, brown and blue meas. approx. 1.75 inches long x 1.50 inches wide is suspended from the top bar. Attached to this ribbon is a six armed drop.
The obverse of the drop has the intertwined letters “A&NU” at center surrounded by and oak wreath. Emanating out from the center are six arms that each bear a different military insignia. Clockwise starting at the top they are an engineer’s castle, crossed sabers, an anchor, crossed rifles, Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor and crossed cannons.
Reverse has maker’s mark.
