Inner crown maker-mark: “Schuyler Hartey & Graham/ Maiden Lane/ New York.” Of dark blue felt with golden piping, spread eagle insignia above Infantry horn insignia with company letter “C”, topped with red and blue pom-pom (faded), and tiny circular wire vent. Crown measures 3.5” in height forward, 5” aft. Flat, stiff, bridal-leather brim, 1.5” in width; leather chin strap, with eagle button attachments. Interior leather sweat band, 1.25” in width, intact with some loose stitching forward.
Exhibits slight wear, but with no moth nips whatever. Overall condition, near fine and handsome. Superb display shako.
