Relic spade-shaped brass finial that once topped a regimental flag pole. Nice smooth patina overall. Recovered in Berryville, VA and so noted in white lettering on the piece.
Screwed into a modern wood mount; easily unscrews. Finial measures 3 ¼” wide x 4 ½” tall. Finial with wood stand are 6 ½” tall.
Recovered in 1980s by Joe Leisch of Berryville. Details noted on his attached business card when purchased by noted sculptor Ron Tunison.
Very nice relic. [jet]
