Clean, clear image of a member of the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry with saber drawn leaning against a podium. The subject wears a dark forage cap with crossed sabers insignia, dark cavalry shell jacket with double row of piping down the front which was exclusive to the 15th, dark trousers and knee high boots. At the waist is a saber belt and scabbard. The subject is posed with his hands resting on the hilt of his saber which is in front of him, point down.

Image is bright with excellent contrast. Corners of the mount have been trimmed.

Reverse has imprint for E. GUTEKUNST of Philadelphia.  [ad]
