Stein has porcelain body with decorative pewter lid. Finial on lid is in the shape of a train. Thumblift is a Bavarian lion. Center image on stein is a train and shield with Bavarian coat of arms. Surrounding it are images of railroad bridges.
Raised lettering on lid is in German. Shows roster of names in regiment on each side of handle. Lettering at base reads, “1881 KARL WINTER 1883”.
Measures 10 ¼” tall by 4 ½” at the base. [sl]
