Non-excavated Confederate brass cavalry spur with piece of leather strap remaining. Brass has dark age patina. About four inches of thin leather strap remains attached to one of the loops. Leather is dry and stiff. Complete iron rowel remains and spins freely. Neck is flat on all four sides and the spur is of thin construction compared to regulation US spurs. Very good condition with no bends or breaks.
