Indian Wars era box, with interior Rock Island Arsenal inspector markings “M.L.F/ C.S.W.” Black leather, with finial & strap, interior compartment stitched for twenty .45-70 Springfield trapdoor cartridges, with lower brass rod hinging mechanism. Leather exhibits moderate cracking, interior stitching is tight is tight and clean. New Jersey “NJ” plate exhibits medium coppery patina with scratching and one minor ding. Else VG. [jp]
