Original pistol cartridge box with clean leather and tight seams. Outer flap shows almost no cracking to the finish. There is one stamping on the flap: a rectangular inspector’s cartouche (T.J. Shepard) located in the center. Latch tab is complete and held in place with single row of stitching. The interior of the box is very good. The back has both belt loops with minor surface flaking on one. Belt loops are stitched and riveted. The manufacturer’s stamp, “E. GAYLORD / CHICOPEE / MASS” is clearly seen between the belt loops. Brass finial is present on bottom. Excellent condition. [jet]
