Black leather belt in good condition. Leather is still strong and supple. Surface has a pebble like finish. The edges have some minor scattered surface loss. Adjuster buckle is present as are both sword drops and snap hooks. Sliding leather keeper is present but split. This can be repaired as holes are still present, just needs some new thread. Plate is standard Model 1851 Officer’s plate with narrow tongue. Both the plate and the keeper are marked with an “E.” All brass fittings match the plate’s light patina.
