Leather belt is in good used condition. It meas. approx. 1 5/8 inches wide with a brass keeper marked with a number 260 sewn to one end. The opposite end has a brass hook for passing through the plate keeper and adjusting size. The surface of the leather is in good pliable condition and has several holes for adjusting size. There is also some light surface crazing and wear but nothing major.
Attached to the belt is the rectangular Pattern 1851 NCO plate with the number 260 stamped on the tongue on the reverse. This number matches the one on the keeper. The face of the plate has a spread-winged eagle with an applied silver wreath. The tips of the wreath extend above the eagles wings. The face has good detail and a light patina with some light surface dirt.
On the belt by the plate is a sliding leather keeper.
A nice example of a standard NCO waist belt.
