Item Code: 37-279

Small rectangular tin can (japanned painted) medical container with remains of its original paper label marked QUINIAE ( QUININE). The number “31” is painted on in a now faded white, located at the top surface of the can .The number would indicate that this can was a part of a much larger medical set consisting of various other pharmaceutical remedies of the period. This can would have been a very common sight at hospitals and field hospitals during the war. Can measures: 3/1/4” in height (including spout) 1 ½” square. Nice example.
