In rosewood case, 16.625” x 8.625”, with brass cover-corner trim, inner red felt lining. Contains wood handled capitol saw, bow saw, and three [“ROSE & SELLERS” maker-marked] amputation knives & scalpel. Also brass tourniquet with strap, two retractors, tenaculum, and [period replacement] forceps. Missing spool and thread [upper right corner]; also missing front lock key.
Saw and knife blades bright and clean, as is tourniquet brass & strap. Retractors and tenaculum exhibit traces of pitting as does forceps. Case lid bowed slightly upward, rear hinges good; faded inner lining. Overall condition, VG and attractive. Excellent CW medical collectible. [jp]
