This is a chunk of old tree with a fired bullet embedded recovered at Gettysburg. Piece is approximately 4” x 3” x 1 ½”. Originally from the Danner Museum collection, this item came from the Sedgwick G.A.R. Post #42 collection of the Lebanon County Historical Society. Type of bullet cannot be determined. Museum reference number on back. This is a rock-solid piece of wood, no rot or soft areas. [jet]
