Image is mounted on yellow stock. One edge is marked “ARTISTIC STEREO GEMS OF GETTYSBURG SCENERY” and the other states that the image is by W. H. Tipton.
The view was taken from Sickles Ave looking southwestward. This Celtic Cross with Irish Wolfhound monument was erected in 1888 and honors the 63rd, 69th and 88th New York Infantry and the 14th New York Independent Battery.
The view is number 1003 and is captioned “IRISH BRIGADE MONUMENT.”
The contrast of the image is good but it gets a little light near the top. The mount is mostly clean with only light surface dirt from age and storage.
Reverse is blank.
