Bored out to .58 cal. Rifling is VF+. The Lorenz Rifle was a percussion type muzzleloader with a 37.5” barrel secured by two barrel bands and a front nose cap/band. Original block sight and brass tipped ramrod. Very nice beech wood stock. Stamped “OHIO” behind tang and on stock flat opposite lock. Barrel with smooth metal light gray with recessed areas dark. Breech are around nipple with light to moderate pitting. Mechanically perfect. Lock is dated “_860” for 1860. Austrian eagle at rear of lock. Bayonet with light gray patina and fits nicely.
