This is an example of a WW2 pistol manufactured between 1943 to 1945. This is serial number 1867938. The Ithaca frame is marked “M1911A1 U.S. ARMY” forward of the slide stop pin and “UNITED STATES PROPERTY behind the slide stop pin. Also stamped “FJA” and “P” on the frame, and “3” and Ithaca inspector mark on the trigger guard. Slide is marked ITHACA GUN CO., INC / ITHACA, N.Y. No arsenal rebuild markings but the barrel and grips may not be original and have a small crack on the top.
