Stamped marking, top and bottom: “AMERICAN POWDER CO/ BOSTON MASS. /. PAT’D 1859”. Ribbed can measures 9.5 in diameter, 11.5” in height. Upper lid has metallic circular stopper [immovable], with thin 4” crack adjacent. Else structurally sound. Dark green painted side exhibits moderate to medium tarnish, else VG. In all, a solid CW-era gunpowder display piece.
