Item meas. approx. 29.50 inches overall. The blade meas. approx. 24.25 inches long and is 1.25 wide at the ricasso. Blade is slightly curved and there is no fuller. The surface of the blade is semi-bright with light mottling and no pitting. The true edge has a number of very slight nicks. There is a false edge that runs approx.4.50 inches from the point. The blade wiggles just a bit. The hilt is made of heavy cast brass. It is decorated with a lion head with smooth grips and reversed langets. The details of the lion’s face and main are very nice. The knucklebow and the counterguard were cast in one piece with the grip and lion head and are very plain. All the brass surfaces have a nice dark patina.
