Vol. VIII—No. 378. 16 pp., [193-208], 4 columns, with numerous stories, illustrations and cartoons. Front page features story and portrait illustration of Colonel Ulric Dahlgren [son of Admiral Dahlgren], who was killed in the ill-fated Union Richmond cavalry raid on Richmond, after which was found on his person correspondence concerning  kidnapping and assassination of  Jefferson Davis and the Confederate Cabinet. Also contains story of General Custer’s successful winter raid, along with two page centerfold spread of Custer and his activities. As well as illustrations of the rebel ambush of Col. Dahlgren and President Lincoln awarding U.S. Grant his commission as Lieutenant General.

Exhibits mounting dots on left margin, light vertical fold-line,  and tiny spot on front cover. Else VG plus, tight and smooth. In protective sleeve, with white card backing.
