Erich Hartmann is the all-time highest scoring air ace with 352 confirmed victories achieved during WWII. “Sting of the Black Tulip” depicts the first of Hartmann's seven air victories scored on 7 August 1943 flying his famed Bf-109G against Russian adversaries. This is one of aviation artist Robert Taylor’s most sought after prints!
The print is in exceptional condition and has never been framed. Stored flat on an acid free foam board and shrink wrapped for protection.
Print is number 546 of 850. It has the original signatures of artist Robert Taylor and ace Erich Hartmann. Overall size is 33” x 25”. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.
